The West Virginia University wrestling team, ranked No. 24, will compete in the 2025 Big 12 Wrestling Championships at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from March 8-9. The event opens with preliminary and quarterfinal matches at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, followed by semifinal and consolation quarterfinal matches at 6 p.m. Consolation semifinals are scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m., with finals beginning at 9 p.m.

The first three sessions of the championships will be available via live stream on ESPN+, while the championship final will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Head coach Tim Flynn commented on the upcoming competition: “I am excited for our guys. It’s a great opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships and to win a Big 12 title.”

West Virginia enters the tournament after defeating Arizona State 24-13 on February 23. This season marks the third consecutive year that West Virginia has achieved at least ten dual wins, a streak last accomplished between 1985 and 1988.

Five wrestlers from West Virginia have received seeds for this year’s championship. Peyton Hall, a fifth-year competitor, is seeded No. 2 in the 165-pound bracket. Senior Jett Strickenberger holds the No. 3 seed at 125 pounds, redshirt sophomore Brody Conley is seeded sixth at 174 pounds, redshirt senior Dennis Robin is seventh in the 184-pound weight class, and redshirt sophomore Ian Bush is fifth at 197 pounds.

Last year, sophomore Ty Watters became only the fourth Mountaineer to secure an individual title at the conference championships. The team finished sixth overall—its best result in program history—and matched its record with seven athletes reaching the podium.

Tickets for single sessions are available through Ticketmaster or directly from the BOK Center Box Office. All-session tickets are priced at $37.
