The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) wrestling team has announced its 2025-26 home schedule, featuring seven events to be held in Cedar Falls. Season ticket deposits are now being accepted through the UNI Ticket Office by phone or email.
The season will begin on November 23 with a Big 12 Conference opener against North Dakota State at the McLeod Center. Missouri will visit for another conference matchup on December 14, followed by North Carolina on December 21. This marks North Carolina’s first return to Cedar Falls since 2017; UNI holds a narrow lead in their all-time series and won their last meeting by one point.
After the holidays, UNI will host the NWCA Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships at the UNI-Dome on January 9-10. Last year, UNI secured its first title at this event after defeating several teams in a 14-team bracket. The list of participating teams for this season has not yet been released.
Arizona State, now in its second season as a Big 12 member, will compete in Cedar Falls for the first time since 1981 on January 17. In their most recent encounter last January, UNI won decisively in Tempe.
On February 13, Northern Iowa will face West Virginia as it seeks to extend its nine-dual winning streak against the Mountaineers. The home dual season concludes with a non-conference match against Wisconsin on February 22.
