NC State wrestling secured two individual championships and placed third overall with 57 points at the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestling Championship, held March 9 in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The team saw seven of its wrestlers earn automatic qualification for the upcoming NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. This marks the eleventh consecutive season under head coach Pat Popolizio that at least seven NC State athletes have qualified for nationals.

Matty Singleton (174 lbs) defended his conference title by defeating three seeded opponents, including the No. 7, No. 6, and No. 4 seeds in his bracket. Singleton previously won his first ACC title at last year’s championship in Durham. Isaac Trumble (285 lbs), a sixth-year senior who remains undefeated this season at 16-0, claimed his first conference crown by winning both of his matches by major decision against higher-seeded competitors.

In addition to Singleton and Trumble’s victories, four other Wolfpack wrestlers reached the podium: Vincent Robinson (125 lbs), Zach Redding (133 lbs), and Ryan Jack (141 lbs) each finished third in their respective weight classes, while Koy Buesgens (149 lbs) took second place. Will Denny (165 lbs) also earned a fourth-place finish.

Virginia Tech won the team competition with 106 points, followed by Stanford with 84 points. The Wolfpack now turns its attention to the national tournament scheduled for March 19-21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, where four returning All-Americans will aim to close out their season on a high note.
