Two senior wrestlers from Lehigh University, Sheldon Seymour and Max Brignola, have been selected to compete in the 2025 NWCA All-Star Classic. The event will take place on Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m. at Rutgers’ Jersey Mikes Arena.
Seymour, competing at 125 pounds, is set to face Eddie Ventresca of Virginia Tech. Brignola, wrestling at 165 pounds, will take on Hunter Garvin from Stanford. Both matches are among the ten Division I matchups scheduled for the annual exhibition.
Seymour earned All-American honors in 2025 after finishing the previous season with a 22-6 record. He won the EIWA Championship at 125 pounds and advanced to the NCAA semifinals before finishing sixth. In FloWrestling’s latest preseason rankings, Seymour is ranked fifth at 125 pounds, while his opponent Ventresca is ranked fourth. Their upcoming bout will be a rematch of last year’s NCAA fifth place match, which Ventresca won 11-4.
Brignola deferred his eligibility last season and competed unattached, recording a 15-0 record while moving up to the 165-pound weight class. He is a two-time NCAA qualifier, having competed at 149 pounds as a true first-year in 2022 and at 157 pounds in 2024. Garvin, his opponent, finished sixth at last year’s NCAA Championships and enters the season ranked fourth at 165 pounds. Brignola is ranked seventh.
This marks the first time since 2023 that Lehigh wrestlers will compete in the NWCA All-Star Classic. The last participant was Connor McGonagle, who won his match at 133 pounds.
The NWCA All-Star Classic will be broadcast on FloWrestling.org. The event also marks the beginning of a season-opening weekend for the Mountain Hawks in New Jersey, with the team set to participate in the Princeton Open on November 2 for their first official competition of the 2025-26 season.
Season tickets for Lehigh wrestling are currently available for purchase at LehighTickets.com. Single match tickets will be available starting October 20. The upcoming season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
