Former University of Northern Iowa (UNI) wrestler Parker Keckeisen has been named a Third Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This honor recognizes top student-athletes for their performance in both athletics and academics. To qualify, athletes must also be CSC Academic All-District honorees.
Keckeisen is the 61st UNI athlete to receive this recognition and only the fourth Panther wrestler to achieve it, joining Gary Steffensmeier, Nick Baima, and Tyrell Gordon. During the 2024-25 school year, he became the fifth Panther student-athlete to earn CSC Academic All-American honors.
Originally from Glendale, Wisconsin, Keckeisen concluded his wrestling career with a record five Division I All-American honors and five Big 12 Conference titles at 184 pounds. He achieved a program-best .956 career winning percentage and was instrumental in UNI’s successful 2024-25 season.
Keckeisen graduated with a degree in construction management and has received multiple academic accolades including being named an NWCA Scholar All-American. The list of all-time CSC Academic All-Americans from UNI includes athletes from various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, track & field/cross country.
College Sports Communicators is a national association for communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1957 as CoSIDA, it changed its name to CSC in 2022.
