Head coach David Taylor and the Oklahoma State wrestling program have announced the signing of seven wrestlers to their 2025 class, which has been ranked as the top recruiting class in the country by FloWrestling.

This marks Taylor’s second consecutive year assembling a highly ranked group, following a second-ranked class in his first season with Oklahoma State. The current class stands out nationally, with four recruits ranked within FloWrestling’s top 10: Jax Forrest (No. 2), Dreshaun Ross (No. 4), Jordyn Raney (No. 5), and Jayden Raney (No. 6). No other school’s recruiting class includes more than one wrestler in the top 10.

Jax Forrest, who is a member of the 2025 World team and a U23 World Champion at 133/141 pounds, leads this year’s group. He became Team USA’s youngest member since 1974 after defeating Vito Arujau at Final X. Although he narrowly missed medaling at the World Championships, Forrest has earned titles at both the U.S Open Championship and Pan-American Championships.

Dreshaun Ross joins as a heavyweight from Iowa and is aiming to become only the second wrestler in his high school’s history to win four state championships. Ross previously qualified for the U17 World team and also plays football.

The Raney brothers, Jordyn (149) and Jayden (133), are twins who together have nine state titles. Last season at their state tournament, both pinned all five opponents they faced. Jayden Raney has also achieved success in Greco-Roman wrestling with gold medals from both Pan-American Championships and a U.S. Open championship.

Other members of this recruiting class include Michael “Mikey” White (184/197) and Rocklin Zinkin (125/133), ranked No. 36 and No. 100 respectively in FloWrestling’s top-100 list. White recently changed his commitment from Minnesota to Oklahoma State after visiting Stillwater earlier this year; he placed third at Fargo National Championships and seventh at U17 U.S. Open Championships despite starting wrestling only in high school. Zinkin won gold at Fargo National Championships as well as taking home a Super 32 Challenge title while competing for Buchanan High School.

Luke Hamiti completes the incoming group; he is the brother of OSU NCAA champion Dean Hamiti Jr., as well as current Cowboy wrestler Jake Hamiti. After moving from Joliet, Illinois last year, Luke will compete for Stillwater’s Pioneers this season, having finished third and fifth in his last two Illinois state tournaments.

David Taylor said: “We are excited about this group joining our program next year.”
