The University of North Carolina wrestling team has announced its schedule for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Rob Koll, entering his third year with the program, will lead the Tar Heels through a series of competitions that include six home duals and the 2025 Carolina Duals at Carmichael Arena.
The season begins in November at the Southeast Open on November 2. The team then hosts Northern Colorado on November 9 and Navy on November 15. Later in the month, UNC will host the Carolina Duals on November 21, facing Davidson, Greensboro College, and UNC Pembroke.
In December, North Carolina finishes its home matches for the calendar year against West Virginia on December 12 before traveling to Nebraska (December 19) and Northern Iowa (December 21). The new year starts with participation in Soldier Salute in Iowa from January 3 to January 4.
Within Atlantic Coast Conference play, UNC will compete at home against Pitt, Duke, and Stanford. Road matchups are scheduled with Virginia, NC State, and Virginia Tech. The conference slate opens with away duals at Virginia on January 16 and NC State on January 23. The first ACC home dual is set for January 30 against Pitt, followed by Duke on February 6.
North Carolina closes out regular-season conference competition with an away meet at Virginia Tech on February 13 and a final home contest versus Stanford on February 20.
The postseason includes the ACC Championships at Virginia Tech on March 8 and concludes with the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio from March 19 to March 21.
“Last season, Carolina claimed a share of the ACC regular season title, splitting the dual meet championship with NC State and Virginia Tech. The dual championship was the 19th in program history for the Tar Heels, the first since the 2018-19 campaign.”
