NC State wrestling will compete against Morgan State and 13th-ranked Rutgers at the Journeymen Jostle on Sunday, December 6, 2025. The matches are scheduled to take place at Willow Spring High School in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, with NC State facing Morgan State at 1 p.m. and Rutgers at 3 p.m.
The duals will be available for streaming on FloWrestling. Tickets can be purchased online or with cash at the venue.
NC State enters the event ranked No. 10 nationally according to NWCA preseason rankings, marking its ninth consecutive season starting in the top ten since records began in the 2017-18 season. The team features eight wrestlers ranked by InterMat in their respective weight classes, including five within the top ten. Vincent Robinson leads as No. 1 at 125 lbs after his national championship last season.
The Wolfpack roster includes seven NCAA qualifiers, one national champion, and four All-Americans. Freshman Will Denny (165 lbs) recently gained attention by entering the rankings following an upset victory over No. 5 Ryder Downey of UNI at the National Duals Invitational.
In conference news, five ACC teams are currently ranked in the national top 25: Virginia Tech (No. 7), NC State (No. 10), Pittsburgh (No. 20), North Carolina (No. 21), and Stanford (No. 24). There are seven ACC schools with wrestling programs overall.
NC State aims to reclaim the ACC title this season after sharing regular-season honors with Virginia Tech and North Carolina last year and finishing third in the championship tournament. From 2019 to 2024, NC State held sole possession of the ACC trophy for six straight seasons.
According to InterMat rankings, NC State has more wrestlers in the top five of their weight classes than any other ACC program—Robinson (#1 at 125 lbs), Singleton (#3 at 174 lbs), and Trumble (#2 at heavyweight). Across all weight classes, eleven ACC wrestlers are ranked in the top ten; NC State accounts for five of them.
