NC State’s wrestling team began its 2025-26 dual-match season with a commanding 30-3 victory over Northern Colorado in Reynolds Coliseum. This event marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The evening started with exhibition matches at 141 and 149 pounds, featuring redshirt-freshmen Gavin Linsman and Luca Felix. The crowd also witnessed the unveiling of Vincent Robinson’s 2025 national championship banner for the 125-pound weight class.
Three true freshmen—Will Denny (165 lbs), Cason Howle (197 lbs), and Everest Ouellette (285 lbs)—made their collegiate debuts, each securing wins for NC State.
Jackson Arrington and Ryan Jack returned to the lineup after redshirt seasons. Arrington moved up to compete at 157 pounds following three seasons at 149 pounds.
NC State’s only defeat came at 133 pounds, where Zach Redding lost in sudden victory to Dominick Serrano of Northern Colorado, a two-time NCAA qualifier ranked No. 13 nationally.
Robinson, Jack, and Koy Buesgens led NC State with major decision victories that contributed bonus points to the team total.
Following this match, NC State will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the inaugural National Duals. The team is set to face Northern Iowa in the opening round on Saturday, November 15th at the BOK Center.

Attendance for the match was reported as 2,271 spectators. Individual rankings were based on InterMat as of November 4, 2025.
