NC State’s wrestling team, ranked ninth nationally, will host Buffalo, George Mason, and The Citadel on Sunday at Reynolds Coliseum. The event marks the last home competition for the Wolfpack in 2025. Two mats will be used for simultaneous duals throughout the day.
Doors open to spectators at 10 a.m., with tickets available for purchase online. Fans who wish to leave and return must use the main entrance and be exit scanned. NC State’s matches will be streamed live on ACCNX.
The dual meet schedule is as follows: At 11 a.m., NC State faces The Citadel while George Mason takes on Buffalo. At 1 p.m., NC State meets George Mason, and The Citadel wrestles Buffalo. The final round at 3 p.m. features NC State against Buffalo.
NC State’s probable lineup includes Vincent Robinson or Brad Yokum at 125 lbs, Zach Redding at 133 lbs, Ryan Jack at 141 lbs, Koy Buesgens or Luca Felix at 149 lbs, Latrell Schafer at 157 lbs, Will Denny or Pete Winterstein at 165 lbs, Matty Singleton or Aaron Faison or Pete Winterstein at 174 lbs, Don Cates or Rylan Breen or Jesse Mullis at 184 lbs, Patrick Brophy at 197 lbs, and Isaac Trumble at heavyweight.
Buffalo’s possible starters include Caden Barrientos or Zach Belverio (125), Max Elton or Troy Guerra (133), Aaron Lanster or Jordan Joslyn (141), Sam Ewing or Patrick Grimsey (149), Max Nevlin (157), Kelin Laffey or Brady Unger (165), Rafael Knapp (174), Marcus Petite (184), Connor Jacobs or Connor Scuilla (197), and Magnus Bibla or Jack Macdonald (285).

The Citadel’s potential lineup includes Gylon Sims or Tyler Washburn (125), Teegan Vasquez (133), George Rosas (141), Carson DesRosier or Thomas Termini (149), Kyrel Leavell or Jacob Silka (157), Thomas Snipes (#30) (165), Owen Hendricks or Braxton Russell (174), Brodie Porter (184), Adam Ortega or Roy Price III (197) and Christian Bell at heavyweight.
The Wolfpack began the season in the top ten of the NWCA preseason rankings for a ninth consecutive year dating back to the 2017-18 season. According to InterMat rankings, eight team members are ranked in their weight classes; five are in the top ten. Vincent Robinson leads as No.1 in the nation for his weight class after winning a national championship last season.
Seven wrestlers on NC State’s roster have qualified for NCAA competition; among them is one national champion and four All-Americans. Freshman Will Denny quickly entered national rankings following victories over highly-ranked opponents Ryder Downey of UNI and Paddy Gallagher of Ohio State.
Within the Atlantic Coast Conference, five teams are currently ranked in the national top twenty-five: Virginia Tech (#7), NC State (#9), Pittsburgh (#14), North Carolina (#16) and Stanford (#23). There are seven total ACC wrestling programs. Last season NC State shared regular season honors with Virginia Tech and North Carolina but finished third in the championship tournament; they previously held six straight ACC titles from 2019 through 2024.
NC State has more wrestlers ranked in InterMat’s top five than any other conference school: Robinson (#1/125lbs.), Singleton (#5/174lbs.), Trumble (#2/285lbs.). In all, nine ACC wrestlers appear in InterMat’s top ten by weight class—five from NC State.
