Mizzou wrestling began its 2025-26 season with three victories at the Missouri Duals, held at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. The Tigers defeated Drury 51-0, Maryville 41-3, and Central Methodist 46-0.
In their first match against Drury, Mizzou recorded six wins by fall. Wrestlers Kade Moore, Nate Pulliam, J Conway, Max Mayfield, Aeoden Sinclair, and Jarrett Stonerall each secured pins. Evan Bates added a technical fall win in the second period of his bout. Luqman Masud started the day with a major decision victory. Zeke Seltzer and Kolten Oborny contributed decision wins.
Against Maryville, Sinclair achieved a first-period pin for Missouri’s only fall in that dual. Josh Edmond, Moore, Mayfield, and Bates each won by technical fall. Mack Mauger, Conway, and Stoner earned bonus point wins while Seltzer won by decision.
In the final matchup versus Central Methodist, Mauger, Edmond, Mylin, and Logan Cole each won by fall. Bates secured another technical fall victory. Seltzer and Conway finished with major decisions; Harris, Mayfield, and Stoner also claimed victories by decision.
According to match notes provided by the team:
– This was Missouri’s first-ever meeting with both Drury and Maryville.
– Five wrestlers—Masud (125), Harris (133), Mayfield (165), Sinclair (184), and Bates (197)—made their first career appearances inside Hearnes Center; together they went undefeated on the day.
– The Missouri Duals marked a change from tradition as it is now opening Mizzou’s season instead of the Black and Gold Scrimmage for the first time since 2010-11.
Missouri will next host the Tiger Style Invite on Sunday, November 9 at Hearnes Center in Columbia after previously holding it at Staley High School in Kansas City.
