The University of Missouri wrestling team secured first place at the Tiger Style Invite, held at the Hearnes Center on November 9, 2025. The Tigers finished with a total of 146.5 points, ahead of the Oklahoma Sooners who placed second with 122.5 points.
Four Missouri wrestlers earned titles in their respective weight classes. Zeke Seltzer won at 141 pounds after defeating two National Qualifiers, Tyler Wells from Oklahoma and Greyson Clark from Purdue. Josh Edmond took first place at 149 pounds, while Max Mayfield claimed the title at 165 pounds in his debut appearance at the Tiger Style Invite by overcoming Marcus Espinoza-Owens of South Dakota State University. Aeoden Sinclair, a redshirt freshman, also secured a title at 184 pounds after advancing to the final with a technical fall and two pins before winning by forfeit.
Missouri achieved its fourth consecutive team championship at this event and remains the only team to have won the Team Title since its inception in 2022. This year marked the first time the competition was held at Hearnes Center; previous editions took place in Kansas City.
A total of 22 Missouri wrestlers competed in this year’s invite, with 18 placing within the top six of their weight class and eight finishing among the top three. In early rounds, Mizzou advanced five out of nine wrestlers past round one and had thirteen representatives reach the semifinals.
Following this victory, Missouri will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma for National Duals sponsored by Paycom on November 15-16. The Tigers are set to face No. 2 Iowa in their opening match.
