The match began at heavyweight, where Oscar Williams lost an 8–5 decision to Emmanuel Ulrich. At 125 pounds, Abram Cline was defeated by JJ Peace, 7–3. No. 10 ranked Braxton Brown tied the score for Maryland at 133 pounds by pinning Max Leete in 4:38.
Dario Lemus, ranked No. 27 at 141 pounds, secured an 8–4 decision over Colin Martin to give Maryland its first lead of the night. Jackson Young followed at 149 pounds with a 9–5 decision against Leo Maestas, extending the Terps’ advantage.
At 157 pounds, Mekhi Neal dropped a bout to Cam Miheim by a score of 7–3, narrowing Maryland’s lead to three points. AJ Rodrigues responded at 165 pounds with a steady performance and a 4–2 win over Austin Craft.
Dominic Solis took control early in his match at 174 pounds and finished with a major decision victory (14–4) against Hunter Hohman. Seth Digby earned his first collegiate dual win at 184 pounds with a sudden-victory decision (4–1) over RJ Robinson.
Branson John closed out the dual for Maryland at 197 pounds by defeating Teage Calvin via technical fall (21–5), securing the final margin of victory.
