Lehigh University has announced that Vincenzo Joseph, a two-time NCAA wrestling champion, will join the Mountain Hawks’ coaching staff. Head coach Pat Santoro commented on the appointment, stating, “We are really excited about the addition of Vincenzo Joseph to our coaching staff. Being two-time NCAA champion, Vincenzo brings a wealth of championship experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest level. His ability to connect with our team combined with his relentless pursuit of excellence, will strengthen our program as we continue to build toward national success. We look forward to the leadership, insight, and competitive edge he will provide to our athletes and staff.”

Joseph most recently worked at the University of North Carolina as recruiting coordinator for the 2024-25 season. Before his time in Chapel Hill, he spent two years at Arizona State where he trained with Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club and later became recruiting coordinator for the Sun Devils.

During his collegiate career at Penn State, Joseph was named an All-American four times. He won NCAA titles in 2017 and 2018 and finished as national runner-up in 2019. As a senior, he was selected first-team NWCA All-American and was set to be seeded second at the canceled 2020 NCAA Championships due to COVID-19.

Joseph compiled an overall record of 89 wins and nine losses during his time at Penn State.

In freestyle wrestling competition, Joseph has twice been runner-up at the U.S. Open and placed second at World Team Trials in 2022.

He began his coaching career at Stanford University during the 2021-22 season where he coached an NCAA finalist and contributed to a top-20 team finish for Stanford.

Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from Penn State in 2020.
