No. 26 Indiana University’s wrestling team secured a 25-16 victory over No. 22 Little Rock on Sunday, completing a 2-0 dual weekend and improving its season record to 4-1.

Indiana won six out of ten bouts in the match, with four of those victories earning bonus points for the team. The match began with Jacob Moran delivering a major decision win over Jeremiah Reno at 125 lbs., giving Indiana an early lead. After Little Rock responded with a pin at 133 lbs., Henry Porter reclaimed the lead for Indiana with his own major decision at 141 lbs.

Little Rock took two of the next three bouts between the 149 and 165 lb. weight classes, briefly pulling ahead after Matty Bianchi defeated Tyler Lillard. However, Derek Gilcher’s technical fall win returned the advantage to Indiana, which maintained its lead through the remainder of the event.

The dual concluded with freshman Matt Kowalski winning his first career match in an 8-4 decision over Michael Gasper.

Additional highlights included Henry Porter’s third consecutive victory—his second against a ranked opponent in three matches—and Derek Gilcher’s second straight win by technical fall. Jacob Moran’s win improved his personal season record to 8-0.
