Indiana University announced on March 11 that six of its wrestlers have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships. The event will be held from March 19 to March 21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The announcement is significant as it marks the third consecutive year that Indiana has sent six wrestlers to the national tournament. This consistency highlights the program’s ongoing strength and ability to compete at a high level.

Jacob Moran (125 pounds), Bryce Lowery (157), Derek Gilcher (174), and Gabe Sollars (197) secured automatic bids by their performances at the Big Ten Championships last weekend. Tyler Lillard (165) and Sam Goin (184) received at-large bids, rounding out Indiana’s group of qualifiers.

In terms of seeding, Moran and Sollars both earned No. 14 seeds in their respective weight classes. Lillard and Gilcher were each seeded No. 26, while Lowery was given the No. 29 seed. Goin will enter as the No. 33 seed in a pigtail match at 184 pounds.

The opening round matchups are set: Moran will face Kysen Terukina of North Carolina; Lowery meets Kaleb Larkin from Arizona State; Lillard takes on Max Brignola of Lehigh; Gilcher faces Cam Steed from Missouri; Goin matches up with Caleb Uhlenhopp from Utah Valley; and Sollars will wrestle Zayne Lehman from Ohio.

Looking ahead, Indiana’s wrestling team aims to build on its recent successes as it prepares for competition against some of the nation’s top collegiate athletes.
