Five Iowa State wrestlers reach finals at Cliff Keen Invitational

Iowa State advanced five wrestlers to the finals at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas after a strong showing in Saturday’s semifinal round. The Cyclones also placed three more athletes in third-place matches for the final session of the tournament.

Evan Frost (133 pounds), Anthony Echemendia (141), Vinny Zerban (157), Rocky Elam (197), and Yonger Bastida (285) will compete for individual titles. Stevo Poulin (125), Jacob Frost (149), and Aiden Riggins (165) are set to wrestle for third place.

Zerban and Elam each defeated top-10 ranked opponents in their respective semifinals. Riggins secured his spot in the third-place match after winning two matches on Saturday through the consolation bracket.

Isaac Dean finished his tournament with a fifth-place result at 184 pounds.

Iowa State leads the team standings with 164.5 points, ahead of Michigan and Stanford, who are tied with 92.5 and 92 points respectively.

The finals and third-place matches will be broadcast live on FloWrestling at 5 p.m. Central Time.
