Chris Foca joins UNC wrestling staff as recruiting coordinator

Two-time NCAA All-America wrestler Chris Foca has joined the University of North Carolina wrestling staff as the program’s recruiting coordinator, according to an announcement from head coach Rob Koll.

Foca will take on responsibilities that include assisting with team travel, on-campus recruiting, match day planning and operations, donor relations, and other program-related events.

Foca previously worked with Koll at Cornell University, where he was recruited during Koll’s tenure. Over his four-year collegiate career at Cornell, Foca won 95 matches. He qualified for the NCAA tournament four times and achieved a third-place finish at 174 pounds in 2023 and a fifth-place finish at 184 pounds the following season.

Before attending Cornell in Ithaca, Foca was a five-time member of the US National Team and won the New Jersey state championship in 2019.

Foca graduated from Cornell in 2025 with an undergraduate degree in real estate development. He is originally from Cliffside Park, New Jersey.
