Cameron Catrabone has been named the Big Ten Freshman Wrestler of the Week after his recent performances for the Michigan Wolverines. Competing at 157 pounds, Catrabone secured consecutive bonus-point victories during Michigan’s dual meet wins over Columbia and Virginia last weekend.
He achieved a technical fall with a score of 16-0 against Charles Scanlan from Columbia and followed it with a first-period pin in just 1:20 against Colton Washleski of Virginia, who was ranked No. 18 at the time. This win marked Catrabone’s highest-ranked victory so far.
Catrabone currently holds a season record of 4-2, with all four wins coming by bonus points. This recognition is his first weekly honor and also marks the first such accolade for any member of the Wolverines this season.
